In today's modern game of soccer, the keeper is the team's first attacker and last line of defense. More than ever the game requires the keeper to be a complete player. To be a successful keeper we teach the technical skills and tactical knowledge to read the game, make decisions and react under pressure.
All of our keeper coaching staff have played the game, are Nationally Licensed, coached for years, and have the teaching skills to help each keeper, no matter their age or skill level, grow their game to play at the next level. Each training session is designed to challenge the keepers psychically and mentally in a safe and fun soccer environment.
Training is available in both 1-on-1 and small groups for ages 12 and up.

Keeping Introduce your entire team to the goalkeeping position, concentrating on basic techniques and fundamentals. Ages 9-11
For the young keeper, this soccer camp/clinic could be his or her first serious introduction to goalkeeping. For the more advanced keeper, Safe Goalkeeping camp provides a comprehensive review within a demanding training structure.
Topics coached. Angles, ball line, body position, Footwork, distribution, side collapse save, forward sliding save, breakaway save, front smother save, point-blank shot stopping, deflection saves, Flighted Balls in the box (catching & Punching) defending set plays, and the back pass.
Keepers are separated into groups by age and ability. Each player will get plenty of feedback given that our staff to student ratio is 8:1. Our coaches identify individual needs and work with the students to build relationships and increase goalkeeper confidence. Ages 12 and Up
Small group training is a great way to train a soccer player with a focus on the development of the goalkeeper position. We provide high-quality training sessions that challenge goalkeepers technically, physically, and mentally.
Our training sessions progress through a series of technical drills for each individual save technique. Ball line, side collapse save, forward sliding save, breakaway save, deflection save, point blank shot stopping, front smother save, flighted balls into the box, back to the bar, set plays, and the role of the keeper as the first attacker.
Developing a keeper’s entire skill set gives them the confidence to make decisions under pressure. Training in small groups also allows duplication of every save situation faced in a match in a safe, fast-paced, and challenging environment. Group sizes range from 3 to 6 keepers, guaranteeing plenty of individual instruction from the coach running the season.

At each clinic, Paul learned a different skill and that was no different with this academy. Brian and Shawn focused on different keeper tasks and skills and were very helpful and encouraging with everyone.
The ratio of player to coach was great! Lots of time for individual attention and there was even additional training times offered after the academy ended. This was a great program and Paul is looking forward to continuing his relationship with them next year."

"Two years ago the Penfield Rangers Soccer Club employed Brian Elniski as the goalkeeper coach for our program. This past year Brian added Shawn Beldue to work with him. The results have been terrific. The improvement in the players who have participated in the training has been outstanding. As a result, we are building a pipeline of kids who enjoy playing the goalkeeper position because they have had more exposure to the correct way to play in that role. Because of this, there will likely be a larger number of players to are both interested in being full-time keepers when they are old enough, and who enjoy playing the position. Most important...The feedback from the players and their parents is that kids have fun during the training sessions. It's a win-win for our club and the players!"
